woke up for bad breakfast
left early for Italy via Brenner pass
Italian rest stop: long lines for break
got to Venice and went across to islands by ferry
went to glass shop where Conrad looked for gift
bad washroom: no toilet paper
went to St. Mark's Basilica with crooked floors and prayed in sanctuary
walked around to get lost
found Conrad's gift of orchestra set
went to Rialto bridge with shops
Bern's necklaces
ice-cream
watermelon
joined group for gondola in canals
went for tourist menu dinner
talked about medicine with Mike
walked around more and got ice
returned on ferry
